A Fresh Start at Nest
A Fresh Start at Nest
There’s something about the start of a new year that always feels like an invitation to breathe a little deeper. After the rush of the holidays and the reflection that naturally comes with closing out another year, January has a way of encouraging pause—a chance to recalibrate, reset, and consider where we go next.
At Nest, we’ve felt that same rhythm. Like many of you, we’re entering this new year with intention. We’ve taken time to reflect on what we love, where we’ve grown, and where we still have room to evolve—not just as a store, but as people, too.
For me, the new year is about self-renewal. It doesn’t have to be big or loud. Sometimes, it’s as simple as creating space for yourself in the small moments: lighting a new candle, running a warm bath, or sitting down with a fresh journal and a quiet mind. It’s about choosing things that make us feel more like ourselves—and letting go of what no longer does. Releasing toxicity, stepping away from problems that aren’t ours to carry, and shifting focus toward the good. Gratitude for what we have is such a vital part of a growth mindset.
That’s part of what inspired some of the new arrivals in the store. This season, you’ll find thoughtful additions like bath and body items designed to soothe and nourish, colorful Tree of Life gemstone pieces that bring a sense of grounded beauty, and wholesome treats for your dogs and cats (Golden Girls approved, of course). We’ve also curated a fresh collection of candles, books, stationery and planners—each piece chosen with the hope that it might add a spark of calm or creativity to your days.
I know for myself that I feel more peace and in control when I’ve had the time and space to plan ahead - whether that’s a task list, a calendar or a journal. Sometimes a nice piece of paper and pen are all it takes to begin, re-start or recalibrate that journey. There’s something powerful about writing things down—it brings clarity, accountability, and often, a little hope. Whether you’re setting goals, tracking routines, or simply capturing passing thoughts, the act of writing can be a grounding ritual all on its own.
More than anything, I hope Nest on Mainstreet continues to be a space that supports your journey—whatever that may look like. I appreciate your support of this special little house on Mainstreet and as we start 2026, we continue to be rooted in care, community and connection. As we step into this new season, we’re carrying that forward with intention and heart.
Thanks for being part of the Nest story.
